Job Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Scientist to provide expert support for our qPCR instruments and reagents. As a key member of our Information Technology team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and products, and provide exceptional technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical application support for qPCR instruments and reagents, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement new technologies and products, driving business growth and innovation.
  • Offer expert technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers, resolving complex issues and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in our Customer Relationship Management system, informing business decisions and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proactively determine customer needs and provide innovative solutions, enhancing customer loyalty and retention.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements in qPCR technology, applying this knowledge to drive business success.
  • Participate in training on products and continuing education on new applications and technologies, ensuring expertise and staying ahead of industry trends.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience, with a strong background in molecular biology or a related field.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in qPCR applications and troubleshooting, with a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a passion for driving innovation and collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with a strong commitment to inclusiveness and diversity.
  • Fluent English, with proficiency in one of the following languages: Italian, French, or German (spoken and written).
