About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Transportation Business Coach to join the Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) team. As a key member of the Transportation team, you will play a critical function in continuously improving service levels, capacities, and costs of the EU Transportation Line Haul to ensure promises to customers are being maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performance Management: Track existing metrics to detect and remove defects, and manage line haul performance to ensure on-time truck performance.
  2. Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements using data and metrics to drive business growth.
  3. Coach and Educate: Facilitate the growth relationship between Amazon and dedicated transport partners, providing coaching and education to improve communication and process efficiency.
  4. Contract Management: Support contract management and compliance for partners, ensuring seamless execution of transportation services.
  5. Q4 Planning and Execution: Support Q4 planning and execution, including Amazon Peak, to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
  6. Operations Planning: Participate in the Operations Planning (OP) Process, setting goals and objectives for transportation services.
  7. Communication and Interface: Maintain and improve communication, process, and Fulfillment Center/partner interface to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  8. Relationship Development: Develop relationships with partners to encourage and facilitate communication, driving new opportunities for business growth.

To be successful in this role, you will require a passion for making data-driven decisions that impact customer experience. You will need transportation experience, specifically in transport management, planning, compliance, or performance. Key skills include effective communication, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to new tools and processes.

About the Team

Amazon's Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a critical role in delivering packages to customers at pace. As part of ATS, you will be welcomed into a diverse team that uses air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient. We prioritize safety and use the expertise of our people to get packages to their destination quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.

Requirements
  1. A degree in a relevant field
  2. Experience in supply chain management
  3. Experience in program or project management
  4. Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
  5. Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  6. Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps)
  7. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  8. Experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
  9. Experience leading process improvements
  10. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  11. Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  12. Knowledge in SQL
  13. Possess a CPCP
