About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the development of basic and detailed engineering for electrolyzers, including design criteria, equipment and instrument data sheets, and signal lists.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the technical team to develop instrumentation for electrolyzers, including design criteria, equipment and instrument data sheets, and signal lists.
  2. Interpret mechanical diagrams and PID's to inform instrumentation design.
  3. Lead instrumental integration activities in subsystems at different power scales.
  4. Design and dimension proportional valves.
  5. Prepare requisitions for the purchase of equipment and components, including instrumentation.
  6. Tabulate and monitor offers for electrolysis systems equipment and instruments.
  7. Develop procedures, manuals, and reports related to instrumentation activities.
  8. Support the development of control strategies for hydrogen production equipment.
  9. Contribute to the preparation of reports for research projects and investment budgets.

Requirements

  1. Degree in chemical, industrial, or electrical engineering.
  2. Strong knowledge of explosive atmospheres (ATEX), PLC architectures, instrumentation software, and hydrogen technologies.
  3. High English language proficiency.
  4. Ability to present technical information and conduct meetings with suppliers and clients.
  5. At least 5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering for equipment and/or plants.
  6. Knowledge of PLC architecture and its connection with instrumentation.
  7. Experience in assembly and commissioning of new developments/installations.
  8. Participation in research projects with universities and consortia is an asset.
