Job Summary
Nordex SE is seeking a highly skilled Process and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of instrumentation systems for our electrolyzers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement instrumentation systems for electrolyzers, including design criteria, equipment and instrument data sheets, and signal lists.
- Interpret mechanical diagrams and PID's to ensure accurate instrumentation integration.
- Collaborate with the technical team to design and implement instrumentation systems for various power scales.
- Dimension and select proportional valves for optimal performance.
- Prepare requisitions for the purchase of equipment and components, including instrumentation.
- Tabulate and monitor offers for equipment and instruments for electrolysis systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including procedures, manuals, and reports.
- Support the development of control strategies for hydrogen production equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for research projects and investment budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, industrial, or electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of explosive atmospheres (ATEX), PLC architectures, instrumentation software, and hydrogen technologies.
- High English language proficiency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with foreign suppliers and clients.
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering activities at instrumentation level for equipment and/or plants.
- Knowledge of PLC architecture and its connection with instrumentation.
- Experience in assembly and commissioning of new developments/installations.
- Participation in research projects with national and/or European universities and consortia in activities related to basic and detailed engineering developments.
