We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Vigo, or San Sebastián factory. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring products from metal machining operations comply with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Define qualification requirements (PPAP) for outsourcing/new product introduction projects (PDP) and ensure they are met according to project timing with no post-qualification quality escapes.
- Perform audits and assessments in supplier factories and follow up on supplier quality issues, driving them for successful resolution and closure using Otis quality tools and policies.
- Communicate effectively with external electrical product suppliers and internal customers/engineering, manufacturing, and field functions.
- Regularly report status and progress to function and regional/global management.
- Travel up to 60% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Preferred prior experience in industrial/engineering companies from production sectors.
- Experience in quality areas, including quality issues resolution.
- Knowledge of metal raw material and machining operations industry standards.
