At Microsoft, we're passionate about innovation and collaboration. Our Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence.

We're seeking a Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Service Reliability Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our critical services are running efficiently, securely, and with high reliability.

You'll work closely with team members to unblock each other and share learnings and knowledge. Using data and telemetry, you'll improve feature work and propose feature improvements to existing products.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing Service Reliability services, tooling, and processes.
  • Generating software specifications, proof-of-concepts, and prototype solutions given high-level feature requirements.
  • Working closely with team members to unblock each other and share learnings and knowledge.
  • Using data and telemetry to improve feature work and propose feature improvements to existing products.

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in technical software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft customer and/or government security screening requirements.
