Schneider Electric is seeking a seasoned Procurement Professional to lead our Global Category Management team. As a Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives and managing a global team to deliver high-performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction for Schneider Electric stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing:
- Anticipate and collect business requirements from various stakeholders across the organization.
- Assess the technology vendor market to determine the best options and sources of supply for Schneider Electric.
- Lead RFPs, negotiation, and supplier selection in collaboration with stakeholders to meet business needs.
- Lead contract negotiation, approval, and signature for large-scale, enterprise-wide global agreements.
- Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management:
- Analyze and optimize a portfolio of professional services to continuously optimize cost and operational efficiencies for Schneider Electric.
- Be accountable for delivering productivity/savings in your scope, based on strong collaboration with stakeholders.
- Proactively manage your supplier panel, evaluate performance, risk, and innovation, in alignment with the category strategy.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Drive adoption to a global program of recommended vendors established at the global level for IT/R&D and management consulting services.
- Support and drive change within all parties involved to ensure most business needs are met within the program.
- Lead governance meetings to ensure continuous improvement within the established program.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in sourcing professional services in a global environment.
- Excellent sourcing and negotiation skills, including contractual and commercial negotiation, supplier management, should-cost analysis, and sourcing methods and tools.
