Vonage is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Messaging Operations to lead our Carrier Management Team (CMT). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing relationships with CSPs and CPaaS partners, A2P trading relationships, and OTT clients. Your expertise will drive the development of our connectivity and cost strategies for SMS, Voice, RCS, and Network APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead CMT Operations: Align with Vonage API AOP and oversee all operational functions, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality delivery.
- Operational Performance: Be accountable for operational performance, quality, and cost delivery, driving efficiency and accuracy while supporting client-facing requirements.
- Team Development: Drive functional accountability and individual/team performance, working closely with team managers to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Commercial Routing: Ensure commercial routing and CMT pricing operations maximize Vonage revenue and gross margin, driving efficiency and accuracy.
- System Enhancements: Collaborate with the Product team to enhance systems and the platform, adopting new routing engines and increasing automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Carrier and Supplier Support: Be accountable for the optimization of all carrier and supplier support functions, including onboarding, support, and supplier escalations.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Represent the CMT and drive functional relationships with all Vonage stakeholders and internal CMT customers.
- Market Analytics: Drive market analytics, focusing on the accuracy and relevance of data required to support key commercial decision-making and planning processes.
- Client Satisfaction: Align operations with the requirements of Vonage's Top clients and Sales teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of RFP-related pricing exercises.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to develop and grow a team.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the SMS wholesale and aggregator markets, A2P SMS & Voice, routing ecosystems, and SS7 connectivity.
- Results-Driven Mindset: A robust results-driven mindset and dynamic approach, with a customer-driven focus and flexibility to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
