Digital Infra:Data Center Pre-Construction Specialist

About the Role:

Ferrovial Digital Infra is a leading developer of data center assets, with a focus on efficient and sustainable solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the transition from land acquisition to the design and construction phase, ensuring a seamless handover to our Design & Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a digital process for project handover, including the definition and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Set up the foundations of the digital construction process, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Provide input to inform CAPEX and associated cash flows, ensuring accurate financial planning.
  • Implement asset management baselines and digital processes to monitor the project lifecycle.
  • Establish standards for Health & Safety, Sustainability, and Quality Plans, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Work with the Strategy and Business Development team to assess land acquisition feasibility and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Coordinate utilities supply processes, ensuring a smooth transition from early stages to execution.
  • Manage risks and opportunities, informing both design and utilities supply processes.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in construction project delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge of H&S and Quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Cost management and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in data center projects and/or large tertiary & industrial construction projects.
  • Experience in bidding/tender processes for Design & Build construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, zoning ordinances, and sustainability regulations.
  • Office 365 package expertise.
  • Lean Construction knowledge and experience.
