Are you looking for a challenging role where you can apply your technical skills to drive innovation and solve complex problems at a global scale? Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our Business team, which is building a development team to disrupt the way businesses purchase their supplies.
The Amazon Business team is focused on building solutions to enable business customers to buy business, industrial, and scientific products in large catalogs with confidence and at the right price. Our customers include individual professionals, businesses, and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the customer experience, from the visual interface to the back-end services.
You will work with new technologies that improve usability and increase performance and scalability. You will help redefine normal for the business ecommerce market. Your key responsibilities will include designing and coding solutions to complex problems, building innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, and creating solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in professional software development, including building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers. You should have experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems, as well as knowledge of professional software engineering best practices. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required, and the ability to communicate in spoken and written English in a business setting is essential.
