About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Development Engineer to join our Key for Business team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining systems that enable innovative package delivery experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software systems that enable innovative package delivery experiences
- Work with cross-functional teams to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
- Develop high-quality software in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Research, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of new and existing backend systems
- Creation of software services and tools to drive the software development process towards higher quality
About the Team
Our team is actively seeking a motivated and multi-talented engineer who is passionate about technological and business innovation. You will be part of an inter-disciplinary team of hardware, firmware, software, and system engineers to develop and integrate cutting-edge technologies from IoT, wireless, and cloud computing into pragmatic solutions for package transportation, logistics, and delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- 2+ years of experience building distributed applications in micro service architecture
- 2+ years of experience building Cloud applications with strong focus on cloud native solutions
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
- Front-end development
- Native mobile application development (iOS/Android) and exposing APIs for mobile clients
- Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
