About the Role
Roche Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining our core software stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code to support our software development process end to end.
- Facilitate the software stack integration with our existing CI/CD pipeline and contribute to its continuous improvement.
- Ensure continuous monitoring solutions cover all operations requirements.
- Align continuous delivery processes with operations and establish a continuous improvement culture.
- Lead by example and promote a culture that values technical excellence and individual support.
- Evaluate and evangelize healthy DevOps software development and operations practices within the Roche Engineering Community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the software industry.
- 2+ years of experience in contemporary platforms extended from cloud, docker, Kubernetes, helm charts, and Kustomize.
- Experience in automating using infrastructure as code, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, etc.
- Hands-on automation operations using configuration management tools, Ansible, or Saltstack.
- Experience in CI/CD, internal tooling, and production operations, including CI Tooling, Gitlab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Whitesource, Registry/Artifactory, CD Tooling, Helm, Argo CD, and Continuous Monitoring tooling, Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, and ElasticSearch.
- Hands-on System Administration experience with Unix-based systems, including system configuration and networking.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying or managing large-scale distributed environments in Edge environments.
- Experience in Production Continuous Monitoring environments covering all modules of the platform and infrastructure.
- Previous SRE experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in other cloud providers, Azure, GCP, AliCloud.
- Scripting experience highly desired, using shell, Python, Ruby, or similar languages.
