Job Title: Bookkeeper

Mass Markets is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits.
  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
  • Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Coordinate bank deposits and reports financial results on a regular basis to management.
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handles payroll in a timely manner.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Prepare and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Produces payroll by initiating computer processing, printing checks, initiating direct deposit, and verifying finished product.
  • Secures financial information by maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Balances and maintains accurate ledgers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years' work experience as a bookkeeper.
  • General bookkeeping, AR, or AP experience are welcome.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage projects.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, organized, able to prioritize, and work independently.
  • Experience building successful working relationships with C-level executives.
  • Prior knowledge and experience of QuickBooks and ADP.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
