Experience and Interaction Design Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Experience and Interaction Design Lead to join our in-house Creative and Design Studio at Zurich Australian Insurance.

Your Role

As an Experience and Interaction Design Lead, you will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of designers in creating user-centered designs for digital products and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Effectively lead and manage a team of UX and UI designers to ensure high quality and performance standards are met.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging creativity and innovation.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, innovations, tools, and technologies for UX/UI, and ensure the team is informed.
  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals and user needs.
  • Deliver across the UX/UI process, from information architecture, user flows, wireframes, mockups, to final High Fidelity prototypes.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables.
  • Work closely with our Zurich Design System team to ensure correct usage and contribute to its evolution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate design into the development process.
  • Guide the team in conducting user research to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Lead usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback.
  • Implement internal capabilities to ensure all design teams, including 3rd parties, follow common UX/UI best practices and align with our company's brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Business Units and engineering teams to review requirements and ensure designs are implemented as specified.
  • Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.
  • Encourage the adoption of new tools and techniques to enhance the design process.
