Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Development Planning: Develop and implement development plans that align with the overall project strategy.
- Technical Specification: Create and maintain technical specifications for complex systems.
- Capitalization: Ensure that development knowledge and best practices are captured and shared across the organization.
- Validation Planning: Develop and implement validation plans to ensure that systems meet the required standards.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Meetings and Follow-up: Manage weekly meetings and follow-up on validation work to ensure that projects are progressing as planned.
- Problem-Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve system performance.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive engineering, particularly in engine systems engineering and vehicle architecture.
- Technical Skills: General knowledge of control systems, including GMP thermal, hybrid, and electrical systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical specifications and validation plans.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to understand and create technical documents. French is also an asset.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of engineers.
