Job Title: Commercial Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Officer to join our team at the Embassy of India in Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial and economic affairs, including trade promotion, market research, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial and economic strategies to promote Indian trade and commerce in Spain.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities and trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, government officials, and trade organizations.
  • Provide support and guidance to Indian businesses operating in Spain, including market entry strategies and trade facilitation.
  • Collaborate with other Embassy staff to achieve trade and commerce objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a commercial stream (Economics, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or International Relations) or equivalent vocational training and work experience.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English (C1-C2 level).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in domestic and international policy issues, economy, trade, energy, infrastructure, and investments.
  • Computer skills in MS Office suite and general IT skills.
