**Job Summary**

The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Computational Biologist/ Spatial Genomics Specialist to join our team at the Cancer Genomics Research Laboratory (CGR).

**About Us**

At Biostars, we are dedicated to advancing our understanding of the genetic and environmental determinants of cancer. Our team of experts in molecular, genetic, and epidemiologic research works closely with investigators and collaborators worldwide to develop new approaches to cancer prevention.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work closely with CGR bioinformaticians, DCEG investigators, and MDPL scientists to develop and apply single-cell and spatial biology techniques
  • Conduct genome-wide discovery studies and targeted regional approaches to identify the determinants of various forms of cancer
  • Collaborate with epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and basic research scientists to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Develop and implement image-based machine learning algorithms for different cancer types in diverse populations

**Requirements**

  • Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Strong background in single-cell and spatial biology, genomics, and bioinformatics
  • Experience with high-performance computing, data analysis, and machine learning
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
