About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer II to join our Release Management Unit at Ansys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development of Ansys Licensing as a Service (LaaS), a high-availability API service hosted on Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, test, and document software modules and sub-systems
  • Understand and employ best practices in software development
  • Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products
  • Research and develop solutions for problems discovered by QA or product support
  • Understand marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years' experience or MS
  • Strong computing skills with demonstrated knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON schemas, sustainable development practices, and requirements for maintaining a business-critical service
  • Technical knowledge and commercial experience with developing a distributed API service written in TypeScript using Node.js as a framework in an Agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical knowledge and commercial experience with Open API specifications, Azure tools and resources (Bicep, Application Insights, Cosmos DB, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial organization
  • Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
