R&D Verification Engineer II

At Ansys, we are seeking a highly skilled R&D Verification Engineer II to join our Mechanical Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting software testing of ANSYS applications, ensuring that our products meet customer needs and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Specify and write test cases, create, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts.
- Perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems.
- Create test plans, participate in defect management and testing metrics.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes.
- Work in a variety of computing environments: Linux, Windows, Virtual, Compute Clusters, Cloud.
- Tests products at all levels: Workflow, Unit, Application, Performance.
- Works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical support specialists on product issues.
- BS in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience.
- Strong knowledge of structural and computational mechanics.
- Experience and/or academic exposure with FEA and CAE tools with knowledge of FE methods.
- Proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages: Python, C++, C#, Jscript, Perl.
