About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer - Metal Machining & Assembly to join our team at Otis Elevator Co. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in quality assurance and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans for metal machining and assembly operations
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance
  • Lead the development and implementation of corrective action plans to address quality issues
  • Provide training and support to suppliers on quality management systems and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance and supplier management
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
