About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer to join our technology team at Solera. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced applications for the Android platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features, ensuring seamless integration with our digital identity solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.
  • Work closely with our product owners to define project requirements and scope, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  • Partner with our designers to ensure the visual aspects of our applications align with our brand identity.
  • Collaborate with our back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs and other services, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Optimize applications for maximum security and scalability, ensuring the highest level of data protection and compliance.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the Android ecosystem, exploring new technologies and frameworks to improve development processes.
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions, ensuring comprehensive testing and quality assurance.
  • Work with our QA engineers to ensure detailed documentation for application development processes, including code changes and updates for future reference.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, sharing your expertise and knowledge to drive team success.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Android development.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK and handling different screen sizes.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Proficiency with Android Studio and version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
