About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing the department's daily operations, including supervising housekeeping staff and third-party vendors.
  2. Oversee the control of departmental budgets and ensure timely financial closures.
  3. Ensure all departmental service standards and sequences of service are upheld, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
  4. Collaborate with the Front Office and Engineering Teams to ensure seamless operations.
  5. Manage inventory levels, controlling costs and ensuring proper supply levels.
  6. Support in managing day-to-day staffing requirements, including scheduling and training.
  7. Plan, assign work, and establish performance goals for employees, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  8. Supervise laundry operations and ensure public areas, guest rooms, and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
  9. Address guest issues promptly and provide excellent customer service.
  10. Ensure staff is properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  11. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department managers.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  2. Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is highly desirable.
  3. Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation, able to inspire and motivate others.
  4. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Spanish and English.
  6. Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of issues and make effective decisions.
  8. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to our unique culture.
  9. Humility and openness to ideas, with a willingness to try new approaches.
