Software Engineering Manager in SW Development

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager in SW Development/SW Team Lead to join our Instrument Development Chapter at F. Hoffmann-La Roche. As the SW Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading a talented SW team to develop cutting-edge instrument SW assets that will revolutionize the field of diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a SW team to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Coaching and guiding team members through their career development.
- Defining and evaluating employee's yearly objectives and performance review process.
- Ensuring adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring that our agile delivery process is being followed and measured.
- Working closely with Product Management and other main stakeholders to ensure excellent software solutions.
- Navigating complex corporate environments and influencing stakeholders and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a software team lead or manager, preferably in the medical device or diagnostics industry.
- Strong expertise in software development applying Agile methodologies (ideally SAFe framework).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish (optional).
- Good coaching skills.
- Experience managing external partners.
