The Clinical Neuroimmunology Group at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is seeking a highly motivated and talented Predoctoral Researcher to join our team.
About the GroupThe Clinical Neuroimmunology Group is part of the Centre d'Esclerosi Múltiple de Catalunya (Cemcat), a reference center for multiple sclerosis (MS) at national and international levels.
Cemcat has a multidisciplinary team with more than 70 highly experienced professionals fully dedicated to clinical care, physical and cognitive rehabilitation, teaching, and research on MS.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Predoctoral Researcher who will work on a project that aims to find chemical compounds with potential to inhibit the action of a therapeutic target in human neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells, which may become future therapies for patients with multiple sclerosis.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their PhD project, participate in the teaching activities of the group, and disseminate the results of their research in the corresponding meetings and congresses.
Requirements- Degree in health sciences (biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, medicine, etc.)
- High academic record (8.0)
- Previous experience in a research lab, particularly in cell cultures
- Familiarity with basic immunology techniques
- Fluency in English
- Experience in cell cultures of induced pluripotent stem cells
