Predoctoral Researcher Position

Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is seeking a highly motivated and talented Predoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a cutting-edge project focused on the inhibition of mitochondrial sodium/calcium exchanger, NCLX, as a therapeutic strategy to reduce myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury during myocardial infarction.
Responsibilities:- Develop and conduct research projects related to the project "Inhibition of mitochondrial sodium/calcium exchanger, NCLX, as a therapeutic strategy to reduce myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury during myocardial infarction"
- Collaborate with the research team to design, perform, and interpret experiments
- Contribute to the development of translational research projects to solve unmet clinical issues in cardiology
- Present and defend research results at national and international scientific meetings
- Master's degree in Health Sciences (Biology, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Biomedicine, Veterinary Medicine, or a related discipline)
- High academic marks (degree and master's) are necessary
- Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, self-motivation, and social skills
- Ability to work independently
- Previous publications and research experience
- Accreditation for the use of animals in research
