Key Responsibilities- RAMS Engineering Expertise: Provide in-depth analysis and expertise in RAMS engineering to ensure the development and implementation of space products meet the highest standards of reliability and safety.
- Dependability and Safety Planning: Develop, maintain, and implement a dependability and safety program plan for all project phases, addressing RAMS requirements applicable to the project.
- Design and Analysis: Perform RAMS design, analysis, modeling, and simulation to specify and verify that space products meet customer requirements throughout their operational lifetime.
- Technical Representation: Represent RAMS in technical meetings, participate in design decisions, and provide evaluations and recommendations.
- Program Design Reviews: Attend program design reviews for respective product and/or project areas, providing evaluations and recommendations.
- Subcontractor Review: Review RAMS analyses performed by subcontractors.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation actions to ensure the highest level of reliability and safety.
- Requirements Development: Prepare subsystem and equipment RAMS requirements for relative specifications, interface requirements, and test requirements.
- Trade-off Evaluations: Perform trade-off evaluations with other attributes, such as mass, size, cost, and performance, to identify product RAMS engineering design choices.
- Design Compliance: Evaluate design compliance with RAMS engineering requirements, suggesting design alternatives to enhance reliability.
- Design Solution Selection: Support the selection of design solutions, demonstrating that designs meet RAMS requirements through analysis and evaluation.
- Verification and Validation: Ensure RAMS can be verified, reviewing test documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Report directly to the RAMS Manager and work closely with other team members to meet project objectives.
- RAMS Assurance: Ensure the RAMS of products is maintained.
- Design and Budget Alignment: Provide RAM designs that meet specifications and budgets.
- Customer Requirements: Ensure product design meets customer requirements.
- Analysis and Problem-Solving: Develop new and creative methods for analyzing equipment designs and problem-solving.
- Teamwork and Image Enhancement: Work collaboratively with others to enhance the image of RAMS Engineering within the company and with customers.
- Productivity and Adaptability: Maintain high personal productivity while working interactively with many other suppliers and user groups.
- Professional Development: Keep up to date on new analysis techniques.
- Project Deadlines: Respect project deadlines.
- Experience in Safety and RAM Assurance: Experience on projects in the context of Safety & RAM assurance.
- Design Engineering Knowledge: Knowledge of design engineering, particularly electronic design.
- RAMS Analysis Methods: Competence on RAMS Analysis methods.
- Preferred Qualifications: A five-years experience in RAMS engineering is preferred.
