About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RAMS Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our Quality Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) engineering expertise and analysis in the development and implementation of space products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a dependability and safety program plan for all project phases, addressing RAMS requirements applicable to the project.
  • Perform RAMS design, analysis, modeling, and simulation to specify and verify that space products meet customer requirements during the operational lifetime.
  • Represent RAMS in technical meetings involving RAMS-related issues and participate in design decisions impacting or potentially impacting RAMS.
  • Attend program design reviews for respective product and/or project areas and provide evaluations and recommendations.
  • Review RAMS analyses performed by subcontractors and identify risks and opportunities with adequate anticipation.
  • Prepare subsystem and equipment RAMS requirements for relative specifications, interface requirements, and test requirements by analyzing and decomposing customer requirements.
  • Evaluate the compliance of designs with RAMS engineering requirements and suggest design alternatives to enhance reliability.
  • Support the rationale for design solution selection and demonstration that the design meets RAMS requirements.
Business Context

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the RAMS of products is maintained, providing RAM designs that meet specifications and budgets, and ensuring product design meets customer requirements.

Competences
  • Experience on projects in the context of safety and RAM assurance.
  • Knowledge of design engineering, particularly electronic design.
  • Competence on RAMS analysis methods.
