This role is estimated to be in the range of $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Lead - Internal Controls to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a comprehensive and effective internal control program for Westfield Bank. This includes assessing the adequacy of design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, addressing financial reporting, operational risks, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and safeguarding assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, internal controls, and audit procedures. They will be responsible for managing the ongoing development and maintenance of the program, creating a comprehensive control testing plan, and supervising internal staff as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, assess, and enhance a comprehensive and effective internal control program for Westfield Bank
  • Manage the Internal Audit function to ensure the audit plan and related audit work are risk-based and fulfill the responsibilities outlined in the Audit & Risk Committee (ARCO) charter
  • Maintain the 2013 COSO Framework mapping documentation and gap assessment, following up on remediation as necessary
  • Supervise internal staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls through reviews of internal walkthroughs, policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in risk management, internal controls, and audit proceduresStrong knowledge of the 2013 COSO Framework and audit proceduresExcellent communication and leadership skills
