**Event Operations Coordinator Role Overview**
The Event Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in WorldStrides, responsible for developing effective event strategies and securing external communications and events. This includes arranging speakers and off-site visits for WorldStrides events.
This position is also accountable for administrative tasks related to arranged conference and speaking events, including budget management, CRM data updates, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and contact retention. Direct communication with internal staff, external partners, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed business decisions are essential.
The Event Operations Coordinator streamlines communication between program teams, staff, vendors, and clients. Researching professionals in leadership, business, entrepreneurship, public, and private sectors, maintaining relationships, and communicating effectively are key responsibilities.
Collaboration with Program Management, Finance, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing teams determines program requirements throughout the year. Creating logistics materials enhances execution of arranged speaker and program events.
Administrative functions include drafting contracts, monitoring compliance with budgets, maintaining accurate planning documents, and serving as a liaison to field teams for assigned programs.
Work closely with marketing, sales, and program management teams on event development and alignment with program needs and goals. Provide field support for applicable program events during summer months. Financial tracking and oversight of deposits and invoices ensure programs remain within budget.
Job Requirements:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree (preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in Event Management, Experiential Education, Administration, or customer service/client-facing roles.
- Serve as a professional representative of WorldStrides both internally and externally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship development abilities.
- Proven discretion handling confidential information, adaptability, and high-level customer service response.
**Estimated Salary:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
