We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Empresa Reconocida. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing category strategies that drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Map the Home/Electronics/FMCG category and subcategories landscape, and define priorities on which segment to develop in collaboration with the merchant and merchandise strategy team.
- Define a go-to-market strategy for a category/sub-category and build a clear roadmap to manage long-tail sellers.
- Plan, execute, and maintain category performance by identifying potential merchants, meeting their POC, and building relationships through various approaches.
- Build merchant onboarding solutions and support merchants in solving any problems during the onboarding process.
- Set up mid and long-term account plans and help merchants grow their business sustainably on the platform.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external service vendors to help merchants with live streaming and short videos on the platform.
- Own internal projects to contribute to the category ecosystem as a whole.
- 3+ years experience in category management, at an e-commerce company, a large retailer, or agency side with specialization in category.
- Strong knowledge of the local merchant landscape, consumer demands, digital evolution, and mobile transformation.
- Well connected to key sellers/brand distributors within the industry.
- A fast learner with a good sense of judgment and original thinking.
- Sales-oriented mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail, affinity with numbers, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation and experience working in a client-facing capacity.
- A commercial mindset with a history of delivering against stretching performance goals.
- Practical experience in social commerce, content marketing, and influencers in the category.
