Job Description

We are seeking a certified AWS cloud engineer with proven experience in migrating applications and databases from on-premise to AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will be a key team member enabling, supporting, and guiding the existing team to prepare, run, and migrate a set of applications and databases from on-premise datacenter to AWS cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deep knowledge of architecture of AWS public and hybrid cloud
  • Experienced in handling migrations from datacenter to the cloud in a phased approach including Discovery, assessment, migration, warranty, and operations support
  • Experienced in performance and cost optimization of cloud environments
  • Good knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud offerings
  • Working knowledge of AWS DevOps
  • Experience in migrating applications to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Experience in designing cost-effective compute, storage, and network solutions in AWS
  • Experienced in implementation of DR solutions in cloud environments
  • Experienced in managing compliance factors such as tagging, configuration standards, vulnerability remediation, hardening, AMI creation, and patching
  • Experienced in defining VPC for enterprises with Direct Connect and VPN
  • Working knowledge of AWS DevOps and core AWS architecture including EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, VPC, Monitoring, and Backup design
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of IT Infrastructure experience covering all parts of AWS migration components in a typical organization
  • Proven track record in on-premise to AWS cloud migration projects
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to show thought leadership in client meetings
  • Ability to connect with clients
  • Ability to learn technology quickly
  • Strong sense of value engineering
