Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aeronautical Quality Specialist to join the Airbus Defence and Space team in Getafe, Madrid. The selected candidate will be part of the MRTT Quality Operations Team and will contribute to ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of MRTT aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze quality issues and technical problems reported by the business team and customers.
- Ensure effective containment and archiving of quality issues, and implement corrective and curative actions through multifunctional teams.
- Perform quality inspections and attestation of work orders, as well as operational surveillance of people, product, and process.
- Provide feedback and coaching to operations and support functions on quality issues and observations from operational surveillance.
- Participate in process improvements and support the Q planner in activities such as quality team driver model building, cost control, and OP definition.
Requirements:
- University degree in a technical domain, such as computer science, telecommunications engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of quality procedures and regulations.
- At least 3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Experience in project and team management is a plus.
- Direct contact with final customers is valuable.
- High adaptability to work on new topics, new business, and in a network mode.
- Familiarity with agile software development processes and methods.
- State-of-the-art paradigms in quality processes and improvement tools are valuable.
- Knowledge of planning systems is beneficial.
- Experience in MRTT systems is a plus.
- English and Spanish negotiation levels are required.
- Team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Experience in managing people and conflicts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to propose new ideas.
