Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change Expert

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change Managing Consultant to join our team at ERM Group. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)/sustainability, developing benchmarking studies and sustainability strategies for our corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance on CSR/sustainability, developing benchmarking studies and sustainability strategies for corporate clients.
- Assist corporate clients in responding to annual questionnaires and reporting requirements, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and applicable regulations on disclosure of non-financial information.
- Manage or coordinate small or medium-sized projects or whole elements of larger multidisciplinary or global projects.
- Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including the development of proposals.
- Supervise project teams and mentor junior personnel.
- Establish strong working relationships with clients through project delivery.
Requirements:
- Degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline such as environmental management, sustainability, or climate change.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in environmental management and sustainability-related services with deep knowledge of environmental regulations.
- Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (strategy and reporting).
- At least 3 years of experience as a project manager.
- Experience as a line manager or managing junior resources.
- Knowledge on ISO management systems standards and IFC Environmental and Social performance standards, as well as on Sustainability reporting standards and regulations.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Fluency in Spanish and English languages is necessary.
