Job Summary:

Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in Madrid on a contract basis. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling major capital projects in support of our company's Capital Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Control System Setup: Establish and maintain project control systems, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement planning and scheduling control systems to provide Engineering and Construction supervisors with the means to evaluate and improve project execution.
  • Staff Guidance: Provide guidance to Engineering and Construction supervisors in planning and scheduling expertise, analyzing and evaluating pertinent data to support project execution.
  • Project Baseline Schedule: Revise and approve the Project Baseline Schedule and the Progress Measurement System to ensure accurate project tracking.
  • Capital Project Planning: Analyze major capital projects to plan the most effective execution sequence, considering industry best practices and experience.
  • Problem Resolution: Discuss, coordinate, and resolve long-term and short-term planning and scheduling problems with personnel throughout the company and with contractor organizations.
  • Contract Evaluation: Assist in the technical evaluation of contracts relative to planning and scheduling expertise and analyze performance reports in detail.

Educational and Technical Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree: A degree in Engineering is required.
  • Industry Experience: 10-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry petrochemical projects.
  • Software Skills: Knowledge of Primavera Software and excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Language Skills: Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential for this role.
