Job Description

To support the Outlet Manager in efficiently managing all outlets according to established concept statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all operating standards are adhered to in order to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Assign responsibilities to subordinates and check their performance periodically.
  • Assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure par stocks for all operating equipment and supplies are strictly adhered to and the outlet is adequately equipped.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service, and product knowledge.
  • Attend Daily Operating Meeting.
  • Assist in planning and organizing festive food promotions within the outlet.
  • Liaise with the Kitchen and Beverage department on daily operation and quality.
  • Handle all guest complaints, requests, and enquiries on food, beverage, and service.
  • Assist in the operations and be visible during peak times.
  • Assist in the revision and updating of the outlet Departmental Operations Manual as needed.
  • Maintain the Daily Log Book.
  • Plan the outlet weekly roster and work schedules to ensure the outlet is adequately staffed to handle the level of business and submit a copy to the Human Resources Department.
  • Report "lost and found" items.
  • Supervise employees within the department, ensuring correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Hotel and Department Operations Manual.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Attend all meetings as required by Executive Management.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks assigned by the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Ensure rosters are posted and timesheets submitted on time with a copy to the Human Resources and Food & Beverage Departments.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals.
  • Identify and develop young talents within the organization for future potential growth within the group.
  • Build an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, and development.
  • Ensure employees maintain good relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
  • Ensure employees report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and name tag at all times and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
  • Ensure employees provide a friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
  • Supervise employees within the department, ensuring correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Hotel and Department Operations Manuals.
  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company, or hotel and share your plan of action with your supervisor.
  • Be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  • Ensure all employees are treated fairly and consistently as outlined in their terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company/hotel policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A degree in the hospitality field with previous experiences in the Food & Beverage field and further detailed beverage trainings.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and proficiency in MS Office, Windows, and POS systems.
  • Familiarity with Micros would be desirable, as well as previous international experiences will be highly regarded.
