About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of warehouse and logistics professionals to achieve business objectives and maintain high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Operational Excellence: Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure that quality and productivity are consistently high, and business objectives are met across all shifts.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues to address challenges and implement process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service.
  • Process Standardization: Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site, while also monitoring and maintaining process efficiency.

Your days will be filled with prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, as well as individual escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.

You will work closely with colleagues in other teams and external partners to ensure we stay on track to meet our customer demands and targets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, operations management, or business administration.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and local language.
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in performing data analysis and leading teams in a logistical working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Logistical Experience: Experience working in a logistical working environment.
  • MS Office Suite: Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
