PR Manager Job Description

Virtuagym is seeking a skilled PR Manager to join our Marketing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our global PR and Communication strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive PR strategies that support our marketing goals and enhance our brand visibility.
  • Cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the fitness industry to secure media coverage and promote our company's story.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials that effectively communicate our brand message.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft compelling stories that help establish Virtuagym as a thought leader among its target audiences.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to protect and manage our brand reputation in times of controversy or crisis.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and media coverage, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in PR and Comms, either in-house or in an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of the fitness industry, including current trends and media landscape.
  • Native-level proficiency in English with excellent communication and writing skills. German, Spanish or Dutch is a huge plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to write appealing content for prospects and customers and express yourself to different stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects at once, and a master at prioritization and getting things done.
  • Ability to improvise, think creatively, and be an enthusiastic problem solver, coming up with creative and unorthodox ideas to engage prospects.
  • Ability to deal with a fast-paced scale-up environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities — B2B and SaaS experience are a plus.
  • Analytical and data-driven with an openness to change course as needed based on consistent measurement and tracking.
