About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist UK&IE to join our team at Carburos Metálicos, a leading industrial gas company. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes, working closely with our HR and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll, providing relevant data and supporting the processing of employee requests.
  • Process employee queries and provide timely and accurate information to resolve any issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with statutory third parties and members of the HR organization to ensure the smooth flow of information.
  • Participate in other projects and tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and caring experience for all employees.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and suggest innovative solutions to enhance the payroll function.
  • Support the accurate and timely processing of payroll data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform monthly payroll controls with the senior payroll specialist, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Document all outside-the-system work practices and operating guidelines for assigned payrolls.
  • Remit payments to authorities and benefits providers, complete and submit required regulatory forms, and process payment requests.
Requirements
  • Fluent in English, with any other language being a plus.
  • Experience in an international work environment, with a strong understanding of global payroll practices.
  • Preferably with experience in payroll, HR, accounting, or financial services.
  • HR or payroll degree, a plus.
  • Open-minded, willing to learn, flexible, and able to multitask, with strong cross-functional and adaptability skills.
  • Excellent administrative writing and verbal communication skills.
  • PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Resistant to stress, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Desire to learn Workday.
