At IFS, we're seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our Database Services Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality Oracle Database-related services for our IFS Cloud Suite applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily DB operations, following established processes and procedures.
- Act as a DBA resource to support and maintain our Database services.
- Provide final escalation point for challenging issues with our database services.
- Work with R&D and CSA teams to improve the IFS product set in future releases.
- Implement and manage backup solutions for the IFS Application suite.
- Perform performance tuning and monitoring to ensure optimal database performance.
- Implement and test disaster recovery solutions with CSA and R&D teams.
- Implement monitoring tools to manage database availability.
- Work with CSC, CSA, and Automation teams to automate common tasks.
- Deliver DBA knowledge transfer/training sessions to internal teams.
- At least 2-3 years' experience in Oracle Database administration in cloud computing or enterprise IT service delivery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing services or IT service management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in a modern ticket/service desk tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or a similar tool.
- Value-add experience in ITIL, ISO 20000, or a similar service delivery framework.
- Experience in provision of cloud computing services or IT service delivery.
- Certifications in Oracle Database administration or related fields.
- Citizens of the European Union or a corresponding work permit in Poland.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including business fluent English.
- Ability to work to deadlines, targets, and needs of the role.
- Ability to manage own time efficiently and effectively.
The role involves working 24/7 on an 8hrs+ shift pattern, with extra hours possible to discharge all associated duties. Remote working is also part of the role, with office attendance from time to time.
