Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our Database Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of Oracle Database-related services for all applications within the IFS Cloud Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily DB operations, following common and documented processes, to support and maintain our Database services.
  • Act as a DBA resource to help perform daily duties and address issues with client systems.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to improve the IFS product set in future releases, working with R&D and CSA teams.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions for the IFS Application suite, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor and manage database performance, using best practices and approaches to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement and test disaster recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity and data protection.
  • Work with CSA and R&D teams to automate and reduce time and overhead for common tasks, using tools and scripts.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years' experience performing Oracle Database administration functions in cloud computing or enterprise IT service delivery.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing services or IT service management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience in a modern ticket/service desk tooling, such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Desk.
  • Value-added experience in ITIL, ISO 20000, or a similar service delivery framework.
  • Certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a business fluent English.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, targets, and needs of the role.
  • Ability to manage own time, efficiently and effectively.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with implementing and managing critical production systems, especially in the cloud.
  • Knowledge of multi-tenant Oracle databases (CDB/PDB) and administering Oracle databases on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Technical experience with performance tuning, using tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM, and TKPROF.
  • Good technical experience with OEM, backup/restore, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with database cloning and scripting, using languages like bash and PowerShell.
