Join Our Team as a Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our On-site Solutions team at DNV. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration and optimal performance of advanced control systems within the power grid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, and other technologies into the grid infrastructure.
  • Configure and calibrate Power Plant Controllers (PPC) systems to meet specific plant and grid needs.
  • Monitor PPC system performance for optimal efficiency.
  • Perform technical analyses, simulations, and modeling to evaluate the impact of new technologies and integration methods on the grid.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to grid integration and performance.
  • Manage and execute system upgrades with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Follow industry regulations and safety standards for all PPC operations, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance system performance.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to integration processes, technical specifications, and project outcomes.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Energy, or Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in power systems simulation, Matlab Simulink, and PSCAD, PowerFactory, or PSSE is an advantage.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
