About the Role

The Sales Engineer (SE) is a key member of the WatchGuard Technologies team, responsible for generating revenue within an assigned geographic area. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a genuine passion for cybersecurity and a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forge Strategic Relationships: Develop and expand technical relationships with key channel partners to help them develop, support, and sell WatchGuard's cybersecurity solutions.
  • Technical Support: Provide pre-sales technical support and training to reseller partners and end customers, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to effectively sell and implement WatchGuard's products.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through reseller partners to end customers by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Partner Enablement: Assist in increasing reseller, partner, and end user adoption of WatchGuard's products through tradeshows, training, and technical enablement.
  • Issue Resolution: Escalate and resolve partner and customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of WatchGuard products and competitor products, including endpoint security and networking fundamentals.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to balance competing priorities and self-manage in a remote work environment.
  • Experience: Three (3)+ years pre-sales technical experience working for a reseller or manufacturer, with WatchGuard or competitor technical and sales certifications recommended.
