Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our team at SIR Joan Hotel, a luxury hotel in Ibiza. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Serve Guests: Welcome and attend to guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and serving food and beverages with a smile.
  • Present Menu and Provide Information: Present menus to guests, provide detailed information about menu items, and answer questions about ingredients and food allergies.
  • Prepare Tables and Maintain Cleanliness: Set up tables with silverware and glasses, and maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including checking dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Communicate with Kitchen Team: Communicate order details to the kitchen team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
  • Upsell and Provide Excellent Service: Offer menu recommendations, upsell additional products when appropriate, and provide exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: Previous experience as a Waiter or Waitress in a similar environment.
  • Attentiveness and Patience: Demonstrate attentiveness and patience when interacting with guests, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills: Possess excellent presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Demonstrate organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active Listening and Communication Skills: Possess active listening and effective communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to guest needs.
  • Team Spirit: Demonstrate a strong team spirit, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Language Skills: Possess excellent language skills, including fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
