About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute R&D projects following the internal Gate Model and deliver results on time and on budget.
  • Challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects, and processes, and transfer knowledge and findings from lab scale to production environment.
  • Support product care activities while monitoring the quality performance of products of own responsibility.
  • Drive the implementation of resulting actions in either active products or new developments.
  • Provide punctual technical support to production factories.
Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical engineering.
  • At least 2 years' experience in product development and/or design of industrial equipment, preferably dry-type transformers.
  • Expertise in the mechanical and/or thermal performance of epoxy resin will be very valuable.
  • Initiative, creativity, "out of the box" thinking, and great attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
