About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at TUI. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications using AWS.

About You

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript language (e.g. ES6/7/8/next, Typescript) or Java as well as its ecosystem and tooling.
  • Experience with implementing resource-oriented APIs (REST, SOUP, GraphQL) on client and server side.
  • Experience with data persistence in Oracle/Postgres databases and DynamoDB/MongoDB (SQL/noSQL/PL SQL).
  • Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools and services on AWS.
  • Knowledge of applying web delivery design principles for websites and web applications for a positive user experience.
  • Comfortable working in Agile working environment.
  • Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI.
  • Ability to design, build, test, and deploy applications.
  • Fluent in English, with good communication skills for interdisciplinary and international teamwork.
  • Customer centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills.
  • Understanding of social and ethical implications of software engineering.
  • Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner.
