Role Overview

Keelvar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. This is a remote-based opportunity, and we welcome applications from independent contractors worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze product feature requests and design scalable solutions.
  • Develop high-quality software with a focus on maintainability, security, and reliability.
  • Write unit tests and ensure the quality of your code.
  • Review colleague's code and designs.
  • Investigate and problem-solve issues.
  • Deploy code to and monitor the services you are responsible for.
  • Ensure a quality-first approach in all development activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product team on new features and workflows.
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of this fast-paced, rapidly growing organization.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency and at least 5 years of experience in software development, ideally developing SaaS solutions.
  • Experience coding in Python.
  • Experience of working with CI/CD processes and in an agile, product-led environment.
  • Experience designing distributed services which can communicate in a fault-tolerant manner using both RESTful and message-driven APIs.
  • Ability to write clean and testable code and familiarity with common software design patterns.
  • Experience of changing and improving established processes.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve, with a passion for technology and people.
