We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Means Engineer to join our team in Getafe, Madrid. As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and delivering critical production assets required for the manufacture and assembly of launcher components or partial/entire satellites.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for managing industrial means packages (tooling, MGSE, machines, or autonomous systems) for entire programs, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
  • As a technical expert, you will design, coordinate, and execute tooling and MGSE required for manufacturing, machining, assembly, testing, ground operations, and transport of launchers and satellite products developed by Space Systems Spain.
  • You will attend customer meetings (ESA, Ariane, etc.) and interact with local or international suppliers, requiring occasional travel.
  • Your primary goal is to ensure internal and external stakeholders' needs are fulfilled, taking into consideration inputs from various departments, including Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Health and Safety, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics.

In this role, you will also ensure proper adaptation to ramp-up profiles and sequences of real serial parts, guaranteeing takt adherence targets and other key performance indicators.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are known and ready in advance before entry into service of the industrial means delivered to production.
  • Supporting maintenance and production departments with technical expertise to ensure the reliability of the means.
  • Delivering safe and ergonomic means to production or customers (MGSE).

This position requires strong project management skills, as you will be involved in master and detailed planning, proposals, CapEx, budgets, and other program activities.

Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to acting with integrity are essential for success in this role.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and tooling areas.
  • Design for manufacturing expertise.
  • Experience working with a tooling supplier is mandatory.
  • Proven knowledge of tooling manufacturing processes.
  • Tolerances analysis (GD&T) skills.
  • Familiarity with stress analysis, particularly thermal analysis.
  • Automation and metrology skills, including CMM and Laser tracker basics, alignment, and verification principles.
  • Health and safety knowledge, as well as ergonomics principles.
  • Knowledge of CE directives applicable to industrial means.
  • English and Spanish negotiation-level proficiency.
  • High proficiency in CATIA.
  • Experience designing mass-efficient structures.
  • Production facility experience.
  • Management of large assembly models and drawings.
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic attitude, with a proactive approach.
  • Willingness to improve processes and procedures to increase quality in our scope.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adaptability in a changing environment.

We offer an attractive salary range of €90,000 - €120,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
