Job Summary
ISGlobal is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Nanomalaria Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing activities related to the development of protein aggregation inhibitor compounds as novel antileishmanial and antimalarial agents.
About the Role
The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for testing new potential antimalarial and antileishmanial compounds in parasite cultures, encapsulating these compounds in immunoliposomes, and conducting cytotoxicity assays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry, microbiology, or pharmacology, with experience in cell cultures, immunoliposome encapsulation, and DNA aptamer development.
Key Responsibilities
- Test new potential antimalarial and antileishmanial compounds in parasite cultures
- Encapsulate these new compounds in immunoliposomes, targeting parasite cells with specific DNA aptamers
- Conduct cytotoxicity assays of these new compounds
Requirements
- PhD in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, or related field
- High level of English proficiency
- Training in public health issues
- Experience in cell cultures, immunoliposome encapsulation, and DNA aptamer development
