Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our Nanomalaria Group at ISGlobal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing activities related to the development of protein aggregation inhibitor compounds as novel antileishmanial and antimalarial agents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test new potential antimalarial and antileishmanial compounds in parasite cultures
  • Encapsulate these new compounds in immunoliposomes, targeting parasite cells with specific DNA aptamers
  • Conduct cytotoxicity assays of these new compounds

Requirements

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, or related fields
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Experience in cell cultures, including parasite cultures (Leishmania and Plasmodium)
  • Experience in encapsulation of drugs in immunoliposomes
  • Experience in development of DNA aptamers
