We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team at ISGlobal. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for managing activities related to the project "Development of Protein Aggregation Inhibitor Compounds as Novel Antileishmanial and Antiplasmodial Agents".
Key Responsibilities- Test new potential antimalarial and antileishmanial compounds in parasite cultures.
- Encapsulate these new compounds in immunoliposomes, eventually to be targeted to parasite cells with specific DNA aptamers developed within the project.
- Conduct cytotoxicity assays of these new compounds.
- PhD in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Experience in cell cultures, including the culture of parasites like Plasmodium or Leishmania.
- Experience in the encapsulation of drugs in immunoliposomes.
- Experience in the development of DNA aptamers.
